UCLA Health Research Associate II - Head & Neck Surgery in Los Angeles, California
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, you will perform scientific work in a biomedical laboratory. In this role, you will be responsible for all cell and tissue culture in the laboratory, general lab upkeep, histology, and microscopy and will work with animals is required.
Your primary job location will be on the West LA VA campus, with frequent travel required to UCLA Westwood campus. Some weekend hours will be required. As our SRA, you will function under the direction and guidance from the PI, following careful adherence to the research protocol and guidelines. Appropriate safety training provided. You will be expected to conduct daily duties independently.

Experience in performing perceptual and acoustic analysis of voice. Must be able to troubleshoot problems.
Experience in conducting voice experiments. Must be able to work independently to design and implement experiments in speech production, perception, acoustics, and voice quality.
Experience in manuscript and grant writing.
Experience managing a laboratory facility independently.
Must have computer skills including MatLAB, Praat, VoiceSauce, Excel, Powerpoint, Word, or demonstrated ability to learn computer skills in voice science.
Must have excellent communication skills with PI, other lab members, students, and administration
