Duties and Tasks
MANAGEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
. Identify and recruit effective people.
. Develop and retain staff within the department
. Encourage cooperation, teamwork and facilitate constructive conflict resolution.
. Motivate staff and establish departmental goals.
. Plan, prioritize and use effective time management.
. Prepare, monitor and manage departmental budgets.
LIST DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT
- Facilitation of intervention sessions with patients and their families.
. Follow session protocols
. Provide consultations to veterans, family members and community providers.
. Complete intakes and assessments with patients and family members as needed. . Facilitate intervention sessions with patients and family members
. Complete post evaluations
. Provide referrals as necessary
. Check in and assess patients and families and follow up at 1 month,4-6 months, and 12 months
Prepare materials for intervention sessions in advance of each session, prepare all necessary materials for effective delivery of the intervention.Work closely with team members to prepare necessary materials as needed.
Complete required clinical documentation and electronic data entry
Complete progress notes following each session
Complete all additional required documentation to assist with coordination of the intervention
Participate in meetings of multidisciplinary team and any additional service providers
Attend team meetings as directed
Present on individual and family cases
Maintain regular contact to other providers to ensure continuity of care
Facilitate team communication regarding individual and family cases
Represent the University and Operation Mend in a professional manner
Complete necessary training and participate ongoing clinical supervision
Participate in clinical supervision as assigned
Attend meetings as assigned
Attend ongoing training sessions as assigned
Assist in the preparation of reports as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
PhD or PsyD in Psychology or related fields; Psychologist license required
Experience in the area of military, veterans, family, trauma, prevention and/or research.
Experience working successfully in a team environment. Ability to work effectively and closely with other members of the clinical and research teams.
Skill in ethical and professional behavior.
Experience delivering trauma informed behavioral interventions to clients in individual and particularly group settings.
Skill in developing rapport with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to administer assessment protocols.
Skill in keeping accurate and timely records.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and report to supervisors and leadership on a regular basis and in a timely manner.
Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance and access to an automobile.
Flexible hours some evenings and weekends.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access. Ability to follow University Policy and Procedures.
