About this role
This role will be accountable for working with the Human Resource Leadership Team & senior business leaders to develop the Openreach’s Operating Model and Organisation Design priorities and plan.
The role holder is an integral part of the Organisation Effectiveness leadership team and is responsible for using Openreach methodology to influence senior leaders when designing and executing organisation design interventions which enable delivery of strategic, operational and cultural priorities.
You'll have the following responsibilities
I will be assessing the suitability and the translation of the BT Organisation Design (OD) architecture into Openreach (OR) and advising and influencing the OR executive team and Group on the optimum organisation design and operating model for Openreach
I will lead the OR OD Centre of Expertise (COE) – utilising broad data sets and expert knowledge to generate insight on how to improve OR organisation effectiveness and efficiency
I will own and drive the OR strategic OD agenda to ensure that the full potential of business is realised
I will provide strategic OD recommendations to the executive team and senior management by utilising multiple sources of internal and external data that will drive improved organisation performance, effectiveness and efficiency
I will utilise expert knowledge and authoritative recommendations to ensure OD is effectively applied and planned within OR and strategically aligned
I will mobilise and lead cross-functional business teams to deliver best practice end-to-end OD solutions including problem definition and case for change through to the design process and completion, working with, and influencing, senior stakeholders
You'll have the following skills & experience
Acknowledged across the business as an expert in OD and strong understanding of operating models
Credibly leads a technical centre of expertise and able to challenge the business on organisation design where appropriate
Partner with the Managing Directors and senior management teams to align the organisation with strategic outcomes
Experience in Willis Towers Watson sizing methodology and architecture
Expertise in broader Organisation Effectiveness that can be applied to ensure TOM and OD interventions deliver the intended outcomes at organisation, team and individual level
Understands B2C and B2B industries and how competitive differentiation is achieved in large organisations, media and IT solutions including the key roles and accountabilities required from marketing, product, sales/service and technology work together and how this translates to OR
Expert in communicating the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and building a shared understanding of the logical options available to solve the business problems for the benefit of business and HR stakeholders
Manages critical OD relationships for OR and accountable for influencing and maintaining strong internal senior relationships, operating with a high level of autonomy
