ROUSH Production Planner - Entry-level in Livonia, Michigan

Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in the supply chain field? Roush is looking for an entry-level Production Planner who will efficiently build and maintain the production schedule for various divisions including Roush Cleantech and Roush Performance. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, inbound materials, and working closely with operations to serve all production needs.
Responsibilities:
Run planning instances for production of kits and sub-components needed to fill demand
Approve planning messages to fulfill demand while monitoring production capacity requirements
Create material pick batches for the warehouse to fill the following weeks production
Create schedule for warehouse management listing out required part numbers to ensure they are available to meet production deadlines
Review shortage reports to create hot list of material and report on shortages that cannot meet production needs
Print production documents for the floor so they can scan out material and completed production
Run analysis on inventory to see if lead time can be improved for drop in orders
Responsible for creating weekly forecast uploads for the material planners to accurately approve purchase messages
Responsible for scheduling and maintaining zero violation PIDs on a weekly basis
Responsible for production schedule adjustments and risk mitigation as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Must be a US citizen or US lawful permanent resident allowing for ITAR compliance
Bachelor?s degree
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office ? with focus on EXCEL)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor?s degree in business, supply chain management, or natural sciences preferred
6 months + of experience in supply chain production planning (related internship acceptable)
