Position: Bilingual HR Generalist
Location - Libertyville
Duration: Direct hire
Pay: $75,000 - $95,000
Requirements:
3+ years experience as an HR Generalist
Prior experience as an HR Generalist within a manufacturing company
Bilingual - English Spanish
Bachelors Degree
Responsibilities
You will investigate, identify and recommend new trends, technologies, methods or systems and communications related to improving HR services, benefits, policies and procedures and keeping the company current and best in class
You will work with employees on simple employee relations issues to ensure fair and consistent treatment as well as application of policies and procedures; assist with investigations and disciplinary action if necessary
You will be responsible for hourly, temporary and student (Intern/Co-Op) staffing for the organization and ensuring that the selection process is fair and consistent; participates in salaried recruitment activity as needed
You will maintain staffing related KPIs in order to evaluate effectiveness of recruiting activity
You will process hourly and non-exempt performance reviews
You will be responsible for successful onboarding of employees and temporary associates
You will be responsible for processing off boarding, including conducting exit interviews, analyzing trends and making recommendations
You will process unemployment claims and attends hearings as needed
You will assist employees with benefits and payroll related issues; participate in annual open enrollment activity
You will participate in employee engagement activities, such as employee survey related focus groups and actions
You will coordinate wellness activities for the campus
You will be responsible for or assist with employee events such as Company functions, anniversaries and retirements including celebrations
You will be responsible for leave management, including processing of disability and FMLA claims and communication with employees on leave
You will assist with campus safety activities, including workers compensation processing and return to work programs as needed
You will be responsible for creation and maintenance of Job Descriptions as well as updates to related systems
You will be responsible for maintenance of HRIS related data as well as reporting and analysis as needed
You will be responsible for maintenance of the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) supporting documents such as annual applicant logs, new hire and termination logs and ensuring the actions towards the goals and objectives of the plan are maintained
You will develop, deliver and support campus training where needed What you will bring on the journey Education:
Must possess Bachelor's Degree, additional HR Certifications a plusExperience:
Must possess 3 or more years of HR experience in a generalist capacity, with exposure to a variety of HR functions; manufacturing plant experience preferred
Must possess a working knowledge of HRIS; ADP experience a plusSkills:
Must be bilingual in Spanish
