Limbach Facility Services Accountant in Laurel, Maryland
The incumbent performs basic accounting activities associated with payroll record-keeping, general accounting, and or maintaining a complete, accurate general ledger for financial reporting to management. S/he also executes a variety of business-related support tasks, in order to facilitate the effective and efficient operation of the branch location.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews, enters, and or updates payroll-related information for field employees, and performs monthly union reporting, if applicable.
Reviews and enters timesheets for field employees, and processes payroll, including weekly payroll checks, direct deposits, and layoff checks, as needed.
Performs journal entries and reviews balance sheet reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
Participates in month-end and close preparation, as well as other related tasks.
Completes other record-keeping responsibilities, such as purchase orders, COI’s, contracts, packing slips, etc.
Coordinates and processes new hire and employee change paperwork, including E-Verify and tracking of Paid Time Off (PTO) for field employees.
Maintains appropriate Company confidentiality at all times.
Protects the assets of the Company and ethically upholds the Code of Conduct & Ethics in all situations.

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and printers.
In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
This position may require up to 5% travel.
Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
2+ years of relevant, job-related experience.
Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess strong analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) with diverse audiences.
Capacity to produce results when working both independently and as a part of a team.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
Viewpoint Vista/One construction software experience.
