Job Description
Prepares and participates in the coordination of Bioskills surgical training sessions, educational workshops and research activities.
Job Responsibility
Prepares human specimens for use in the Bioskills lab including but not limited to: lifting, moving, disarticulation, body positioning and disposal of human bodies and body parts
Familiarity with medical terminology to review specimen procurement records
Participates in the coordination of laboratory sessions for residents, fellows, and physicians.
Assembles instruments, supplies, and equipment to correspond with scheduled sessions.
Distributes proper supplies and materials to participants prior to sessions.
Ensures proper functioning of equipment prior to and during procedures; replaces malfunctioning equipment, as needed.
Monitors and ensures infection control measures and sterilization standards are maintained during each procedure.
Sets-up and operates related audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment during laboratory activities.
Performs turnover activities between laboratory sessions.
Maintains and updates various laboratory and equipment files and manuals.
Assists in coordinating with medical sales representatives to insure the arrival and support of proper procedure based equipment
Helps coordinate, develop, conduct, and evaluate programs that will assist in meeting the training needs of interprofessional personnel; documents outcomes of training classes and report's findings.

Job Qualification
Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
