Reporting to the Shared Applications Manager, the JD Edwards Financial Analyst will participate in a cross-functional, team environment responsible for support of core Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) financial applications.

This position is responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of the JD Edwards Enterprise One financial modules. Partner with the implementation teams for rollouts throughout the company, providing input on system design, integration testing, user training, and post go-live support. Act as day-to-day JD Edwards Enterprise One production support, including coordination with team members and external consultants. Recommend best practices to key business users to configure and enhance JD Edwards to meet business requirements, using approved DFA implementation and change control methodology.

*The preferred candidate will live in the Kansas City metro area, or Dallas-Fort Worth area. Remote based candidates will also be considered.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support JD Edwards Enterprise One (JDE) finance modules including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets, as well as product costing and manufacturing accounting

  • Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand, gather and document business requirements and transform them into JDE business solutions that can be implemented and supported.

  • Identify and resolve system issues by working with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define systems goals and operational requirements.

  • Communicate clearly system changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.

  • Development of procedures and models of current processes.

  • Lead sessions in prototyping new procedures and systems

  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

  • Learn and support existing interfaces with external applications

  • Learn and support existing external finance and reporting applications

  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience

  • 5 years of business analyst related experience, including business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling

  • 5 years of experience implementing or supporting JD Edwards Enterprise One (JDE) financial modules, product costing, and manufacturing accounting

  • Knowledge of JDE financial modules including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting

  • Knowledge of general accounting concepts and experience working with financial and cost accountants and auditors

  • General understanding of JDE product costing and manufacturing accounting (specific training will be provided if needed)

  • General knowledge of database query tools such as Databrowser, IBM Query, MS Access, or SQL

  • Experience using JDE thick clients and OMW, general knowledge of how JDE objects are developed and modified, ability to create interactive and batch versions and prepare them for deployment

  • General knowledge of EDI, banking integration, Z-file processing, and other integration methods

  • General knowledge of the JDE database, tables, fields, and relationships, especially within the financial system

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

  • Beneficial skills (not required):

  • JDE Orchestrator

  • BI Publisher

  • JDE development tools such as Enterprise Report Writer and Forms Design Aid

  • One View Financial Reporting

  • Knowledge of functionality within the JDE manufacturing and distribution modules and table structures

  • Must be flexible with work schedules and available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Travel: 25% - 50% (up to 1 week per month)
