JPMorgan Chase Software Engineering in Jersey City, New Jersey
As a full-stack developer, you will design, implement, and support several web applications built in React, Typescript, and Java Spring. These applications provide interactive reporting tools to the Investment Director Reporting team, focused on risk, performance, liquidity, and other financial measures. Your expertise with back-end web services and front-end UI/UX development will allow our team to build intuitive, secure, and performant applications for our risk analysts and the portfolio managers they support.
You will be expected to:
Take responsibility for any reports and applications under your development, as well as those of the wider team
Gather requirements directly from our end users, the analysts on the Investment Director Reporting team
Work with the UX team to develop application wireframes
Use internal UI component libraries as well as standard React to build the web applications
Design and build well-structured REST APIs to support our web applications
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
Strong proficiency in Java Spring, React JS, and Typescript
Experience building modern cloud-native web applications
Drive to innovate technically while complying with architectural standards and best practices
Interest in financial risk reporting or asset management in general
Ability to communicate clearly with other technical developers as well as non-technical business end-users
