AT&T Senior-Software Engineer in Irving, Texas
Synopsis of Position :
Software Engineer that will support AT&T Network Operation Center's in support of fault management and automation/tooling efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing best practices via automated solutioning. The candidate will be required to follow standard software development life cycle like analysis, design, development, data conversion, data security, system integration and implementation. The candidate will work with both internal and external organizations to assess the requirements, schedule projects, and develop tooling and automation as the business needs require. The candidate will be expected to attend technical meetings, design reviews, and working group meetings, and to ensure that external systems deliver key reference data. The candidate must be capable of working independently and have a desire to work in a very active and challenging environment. The candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to strong project management skills.
Previous work experience and/or certifications w/ServiceNow is desired for this position. Ideal candidate will:
Develop, architect solutions, design, enhance, administer, and support ServiceNow ITOM and business rules
Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix identified ServiceNow system issues / operational support incidents
Formulate testing approach, develop test cases, and execute testing plans
Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB, and overall knowledge of ServiceNow solutions across multiple products such as GRC, Security, ITOM, ITBM or ITSM, SAM, CSM, HRSD, Portal, etc.
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages and of web-based protocols (e.g. Web services, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML) preferred
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle
Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college/university in a business or technology related field or the equivalent work experience
Very strong technical skills with a proven record of strong architecture and design experience
Good interpersonal skills with a customer centric attitude; ability to adapt with the team.
