This individual will support business priorities through translation of business needs and requirements into IT specifications and implementation of capabilities. As part of the Global Education Solution train / domain, but also in support of the broader HMD JJT portfolio, this role will work as a member of agile teams understanding business needs, writing business-language and/or technical user stories, and when appropriate lead & implement technical delivery of solutions aligned as assigned.
As a member of the GES – Professional Education & Engagement Domain this individual will partner to look for innovative solutions in the market to address business needs while supporting architecture design that is scalable at global, regional or market level based on business requirements. The candidate will be working within an agile team tied to the business value / outcomes related to our Omnichannel Professional Education & Engagement landscape – examples include various digital engagement and solutions related to HCP education inclusive of digital channels and Learning pathways. They will also partner to shape and integrate consumable data sets across the HCO experience which will enable and connect a broader customer centricity strategy. HMD data structures -particularly the HCP, product, and platforms hierarchies, and how customer data strategies are created, implemented, and executed across full commercial and R&D models such as CRMs, MDM, data repositories and other systems in the context of customer centricity, learning insights & journeys.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
Understand Business Needs
Works with the business to gain an understanding of the business problem and conditions
Identifies products that will tackle the business problem in partnership with broader JJT team
Explain to business how requirements may be implemented from a functional standpoint and drive/improve User Experience
Apply compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provides documentation and participates in compliance activities as requires
Understand portfolio of IT system or systems that the business uses; may specialize in specific applications and as such hold deep product/capability expertise
Deliver overall experience to maximize return on investment and drive business value/results through products and platforms
Shape business needs and translate them into innovative solutions combining multiple products and platforms, aligning agile team capacity with top business priorities.
Business IT Interface
Primary IT collaborate partner with the business, alongside other members of the Agile teams, aligning on product development needs for specific products and platforms
Writes, manages, and clarifies user stories and may develop use cases for sophisticated requirements
Lead technical delivery of solutions aligned to those stories where required
Works with the business and agile team to ensure teams stay 2-3 sprints ahead of PI or Sprint cycles and ensures each feature level deliverable is aligned to a definition of readiness to enter sprint.
Write and prioritize product development backlog
Impact analysis of new releases/changes & training
May coordinate, assist and/or document user acceptance testing scripts or assist unit testers so that requirements are satisfied
As necessary, perform platform configuration management, workflow modifications, etc.
Ensures SDLC documentation and system configuration documents are kept updated as appropriate
Maps out and maintains business processes to serve as reference for development and IT support, looking for opportunities in partnership with others in domain for business process efficiencies.
Enable User Experience and Design Thinking principles in the outcome of the requirements and provide feedback to business on ways to improve and drive User Experience
Lead product health, technical quality and market impact through metrics developed in partnership with others in train / domain
Can apply the baseline framework and context diagram to ensure all potential internal and external partners are fully identified; via insights from process mapping and via support of business product owner and JJT leaders in domain
Partner with RTE, BTL, and others to ensure all stakeholders are clear on the roadmap activities, interdependencies & deadlines
Primary business partner engagement with business product owner, Product owners, Application developers, scrum master, release train engineer, systems engineer, and/ or solutions architects
Proactively surveys the industry to bring applicable solution offerings and 3rd party solutions to meet critical unmet business needs
As appropriate, partners and/or aims to ensure security and technical architectures are in line with the overall Business needs and strategy work with architecture teams
Product \ Effort oversight
Provides operating support for existing products by executing key day to day tasks
Specialist within their agile train and/or product team(s) leading one or more areas, processes, or technologies around platforms and technologies for capabilities enablement - Is responsible for the product functional knowledge
High level of flexibility to ensure responsibility for the shape & design of product backlogs and capability build required throughout any multi area of the business and technology solution
Proactively identify areas for improvement and cost containment across IT initiatives
As appropriate, support the PI Planning readiness process for assigned team backlog and where agile team may stand alone define, build, and communicate roadmap and vision with Product Owner through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities
Participate and represent product agile team in synchronization meetings, including the ART sync at the Program Level; if agile team is not part of a train and\or does not have a scrum master, facilitation of appropriate agile ceremony cadence sessions with 3rd party vendors may be necessary.
Help mitigate risks and dependencies
Support and /or Facilitate System Demos via Inspect and Adapt workshops as needed.
Partner across the solution train / domain to lead or support innovative opportunities with business partners to enable differentiated educational paths for our business and customers through omnichannel and integrated HCP experiences gaining rich insights
Partner across trains and domains (inclusive of Marketing, Data & Analytics, SFE etc.) to ensure integrated and cohesive strategies, design, and delivery for new go to market strategies and alternate business offerings
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to quickly gain deep understanding of business drivers/processes and correlate to related priorities and associated technology solutions
Experience with understanding business requirements and writing user stories; in addition to maintaining product backlogs.
Experience and current knowledge of industry and business process trends and ability to apply knowledge support recommended shifts in current business processes.
Proven understanding of product development lifecycle. Knowledge of enterprise architecture and agile development methodologies
Experience implementing digital solutions and offerings, Identity Mgmt, and Customer Master Data sets, BPM / workflow solutions. Solid foundation of data principles, mapping, and flow desired.
Broad understanding of current capabilities and limitations of existing systems and/or integrations.
Engaging communicator within the technical and business environments with ability to interpret, develop and present information to multiple audiences
Strong technical aptitude and curiosity with the ability to pivot from requirement collection to “hands on” product configuration and delivery as needed (either directly and/or in partnership with vendor/partner)
Confident communicator within the technical and business environments with ability to interpret, develop and present information to multiple audiences
Able to create context around key business drivers and plan, able to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Self-motivated and outcome-driven, and ability to challenge status quo
Willing to engage at all level of the work effort as a hands-on contributor and delivery engine

Validated experience delivering sophisticated programs with significant system and process interdependencies is required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the field of computer science or business administration; or equivalent work experience
Previous industry knowledge highly desired in the life sciences space preferred
Expertise in helping to drive adoption to improve IT and business experience via agile frameworks is preferred
Experience with technologies and / or skills with such as Drupal, CMS, Data Structures and Reporting capabilities, Learning Mgmt & Experience Systems, Qlik, Tableau, SFDC, MS Dynamics, Identity Mgmt, AI\ML, BPM toolsets, Content Mgmt Solutions, and/or various other digital capabilities is preferred.
Experience working in highly regulated environments – insights into Med Tech / Med Devices Regulations & Healthcare Compliance needs.
