The Tax Preparer is obligated to execute the preparation of simple and complex, individual and small business State and Federal tax returns. Your responsibilities in this role
Support clients with incoming calls to simplify tax questions and set appointments
Supply the Tax software application with correct data
Conduct other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Manually put together transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies
Determine and invoice for form preparation fees
Follow up with clients to gather crucial information/documents
Requirements
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or finance preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Comprehensive knowledge of Individual Tax Return
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
