Aerotek Assembler/ Mechanical Data Bar in Henrico, Virginia

Description:

Candidates will be tap off boxes, switchgear units, remote power panels, and mechanical power distribution units. The openings are in both the mechanical and electrical areas, largest need is in mechanical currently. Candidates may be in the mechanical/ (busway and tap off box assembly department) or electrical/(switch, RPP, PDU department). Will be assembling small units, they are fairly easy and mechanical skills are a must. Must be proficient with using hand and power tools and be mechanically inclined.

  • Candidates will have to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings -When assembling data bar units, the components are comprised of metal parts and must be able to fasten, drill, attach and assemble/build complete units
  • Perform control wiring throughout the individual units if in electrical area
  • All candidates should be flexible to all general labor duties as assigned including stocking, inventory, or unwrapping raw materials
  • Will be using hand and power tools to perform assembly
  • Will be reading drawings to understand what part or replacement part is needed to assemble the finished products
  • Must be able to work at a production pace as they have a certain goal per day for how many units must be completed and this will vary each day

Pay is determined based on skill (electrical wiring or great work history typically 13.50, entry level with decent work history typically 12-12.50) LOT of opportunity to grow as the company is growing a ton, and there will be needs for down the road in lead positions. Company also recently added a fabrication department and are installing an automated paintline by the end of the year. This will allow the company to full manufacture and distribute final units independently which should result in more customer additions, and quick turn around times for order completions/ shipped units.

Top Skills Details:

assembly: 1-3 years of assembly or similar experience using hand/power tools to put things together or take them apart wiring: ideal experience having 1 year of wiring either as a hobby, school or professional work measurement: tape measure reading and bonus if they have blueprint or schematic reading

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Candidates should have 1-2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience

Good attitude, performance and attendance.

Candidates must have a proven track record of success with no jumpy job histories. Will do resume review.

Candidates need a proven track record of reliability, attendance, performance, and a desire to grow into additional roles at this new site.
