ICT GmbH is a subsidiary of Applied Materials Inc. based in Santa Clara, California, USA. The Applied Materials Group, with more than 22,000 employees worldwide, is the largest manufacturer and supplier of systems and services in the semiconductor, solar and display industries.
ICT GmbH and its approximately 100 employees develops and produces state of the art electron-optical columns (electron microscopes), which are built into systems (machines) within the group that are used for automatic process control on semiconductor wafers.
To support our team and technical development we are looking to fill a newly created position in our Customer Quality Engineering Team as
Technical Writer / Documentation (m/f/d)

Are you a technical person with a strong skill and experience in structuring and describing technical content, systems and processes?
Would you enjoy interaction and cooperation with multiple departments internally as well as being part of an international team?

Your Tasks & Responsibilities
Act as a dedicated person for all documentation tasks with full responsibility for all documents created and released
Develop technical documentation for both internal and external use, e.g. for technical staff, compile procedures for assembly and test, create manuals, training material, etc.
Maintain and update documentation as needed
Analyze documentation needs for existing material or creating new documentation for recently developed systems or parts and make recommendations regarding documentation priorities.
Alignment and close co-operation with technical functions (e.g. R&D, Engineering, Testing, …) when drafting and validating documentation
Review, test, and edit content by non-writer contributors
As needed – get “hands-on” experience through coworking with colleagues e.g. in Engineering
Your prerequisites and know-how
Bachelor- or master’s degree in a technical/engineering studies
Practical experience in technical writing and documentation
Ability to understand high complex technical processes, willingness to learn and to understand our technical environment of high complexity in a dynamic, fast moving and versatile environment
Experience in creating technical diagrams and drawings by using of illustrator/photoshop or a similar application
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
Precise and reliable working style
Good communication and presentation skills
Fluent German and English - oral and written
Experience in daily usage of MS Office
