Journeyman/Electrician - UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg *Job ID: 444332722 *Status: Full-Time *Regular/Temporary: Regular *Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. *Shift: Day Job *Facility: UPMC Pinnacle Hospitals *Department: Facilities Maintenance *Location: 111 South Front Street, Harrisburg PA 17105 *Union Position: No *Salary Range: $20.35 to $30.53 / hour Description Purpose:Maintain, repair, and install electrical equipment in the facilities, as directed.Responsibilities: *Accountable for the safe operation and maintenance of the hospital's electrical systems and equipment including generators, fire alarm, overhead paging system and nurse call. *Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor in a daily basis. *Install new wiring and electrical machinery. *Isolate and repair/replace defective wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment. *Inspect and test lighting, signal communication, control and power circuits and equipment. *Repair and/or install conduit, fittings, motors, generators transformers, electrical wiring and a variety of appliances and hospital equipment. *Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas. *Operate and maintain switchgear and electrical machinery. Qualifications *High School diploma or equivalent is required. *Completion of trade school program which includes such items as blueprint reading, electricity, machine shop work, mathematics and physics. *Must have three to four years of hospital or commercial work experience. *Knowledge of City, State and Federal codes is required. *May in the course of their duties be in roomas where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.
