Pfizer Grange Castle, one of the largest integrated biopharmaceutical plants in the world is to start producing supplies of the Covid 19 Vaccine.Up to $40m will be invested in our manufacturing facility which will lead to the creation of a diverse set of roles across ourbusiness. The Grange Castle facility will now produce the mRNA drug substance, making it only the second plant in our network to do so.

About the role:
This position is a hands-on technician front line maintenance role. The Technician will be responsible for all front line activities associated with the continued operation of all plant/equipment. The technician will be expected to support the equipment in all aspects (Mechanical & Electrical)
The Technician will be responsible for undertaking all initial fault diagnostics and when necessary coordinating the required support services to ensure a swift and effective resolution is achieved for all problems.
The Technician will complete all maintenance routines or oversee the completion of maintenance routines by third party suppliers. The Technician will comply with all site policies and procedures. They will integrate with their team members within both the engineering and manufacturing organisations to help maintain and fault find all Drug Substance production equipment.
You will identify issues and implement solutions in relation to reoccurring technical problems that impact equipment reliability through a continuous improvement philosophy.
You will be able to develop and operate a Planned Maintenance Management System in a cGMP environment.
To ensure all company and Site Engineering policies and procedures are adhered to.
To review equipment spares holding levels and make changes post review
To pursue solutions consistent with continuous improvement philosophy
Assists in the completion of engineering investigation reports in support of GMP Events.
Educated to Trades/Diploma/Degree level and or equivalent experience.
Experience with cGMP and sterile area requirements. Typically, 2 plus years post qualification work experience in related industry
Understanding of SOP's, Change Control and all related GMP Engineering systems
Proven track record with operating a Planned Maintenance System
Demonstrates ability to work without direct supervision
Experience in the majority of the following: SS vessels, Agitation systems, filtration skids, Pumps, Columns, Steam in Place (SIP) & Clean in Place (CIP) systems
Should be able to demonstrate hands on experience with detailed knowledge/skill in the majority of the following areas;
Troubleshooting/repair of Low Voltage Electrical Systems,
Troubleshooting / repair of Mechanical systems
Electronic fault-finding to Card / PCB level
With good interpersonal skills, a flexible approach.
