About our role

  • Contribute to our philanthropic activities by managing and activating community sponsorships and donations in our areas of operation.

  • Support the delivery of communication strategies and content to inform, motivate and influence internal and external audiences.

  • Act as a brand champion, promoting Simplot Australia through all activities to maintain and enhance our reputation, including maintenance and advice on using and applying all corporate brand assets and developing corporate brand materials.

As our Communications Specialist, you will assist with developing employee communications, community sponsorship, and corporate brand activities for Simplot Australia.

What will you do

  • Content development, including developing and maintaining our company profile and corporate messaging, creating corporate website copy, and delivering other ad hoc content as required for Simplot communication channels.

  • Manage community sponsorships, which are integral to enhancing our corporate brand and reputation. This will also require you to drive and manage local media relations proactively.

  • Assist with ensuring all corporate brand standards are upheld and advise and educate on the correct use and application of all brand elements.

About you

  • Significant corporate communications experience, either inhouse or within agency.

  • Corporate giving and corporate brand management experience are desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to communicate constructively to share ideas and possible outcomes.

  • Previous and significant editing experience.

  • Sound computer literacy in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and use of content management systems.

  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and ‘can do’ attitude
