Responsible for development and maintenance of the plant’s Distributed Control System and Continuous Emissions Monitoring System.
SALARY GRADE: 17 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Project management of controls related projects from conception to completion (scope, specifications, plan, and direct work) on capital and O&M projects and collaboration with site personnel.
Assist in budget preparation for assigned areas of capital, maintenance and operation activities
Conduct monitoring, data collection and analysis for control systems.
Maintain communication and protocols between various systems and compliance with standards or best practice for cyber-security.
Maintain the Turbine Supervisory Controls for all steam and gas turbines.
Maintain the controls system for EMD’s and wind energy facilities.
Have lead responsibility for plant control systems.
Comprehensive understanding of CEMS theory of operation
Evaluate and direct the testing of plant control system equipment.
A minimum of four (4) years of distributed control systems (ABB-Harmony, GE Cimplicity, GE iFix, Siemens T3000 or related system) experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Good knowledge of basic principles of power generation and electrical principles.
Knowledge of networking protocols used in power generation i.e. Modbus, DNP is required.
Understanding of computer networking and cyber-security best practices.
Understanding of PLC’s and programming Controls/Logic – Allen Bradley, ABB Symphony/Harmony or other ladder logic and block function logic experience is required.
Knowledge of distributed control systems (ABB-Harmony, GE Cimplicity, GE iFix, Siemens T3000) including boiler tuning principles, process loop tuning, burner management controls and instrumentation specification, installation, calibration and commissioning is required.
