Lockheed Martin Design and Technology Quality Director in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Leads the Q&MS Processes, Skills & NextGen Innovation directorate providing tools, processes, methods, systems and skills training to the Quality Engineering, Quality Control and Quality Sustainment professionals throughout the Aeronautics enterprise. Enables data driven business decisions through the use of Quality Engineering math and science principles. Provides represented staffing & initial training for all represented Quality personnel. Develops policies & procedures for Quality Engineering & Quality Control functions. Directs the functions for 3 Independent test laboratories within Quality; Metallurgical & Chemical Laboratories, Nondestructive Test Laboratories & Metrology laboratories. Directs the advanced Quality Technology function to develop advanced Quality technologies for future use to reduce inspection. Pursues joint ventures with university research function to better position LM for future. Works with AFRL for pursuit of Contracted Research & Development contract related to Quality Technology. Works collaboratively with AF to provide contracted NDT training function for AF. Works collaboratively with Engineering to guide Digital Design parameters to establish design parameters & ensure digital models are useable by Mfg & Quality.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience.

• Experience driving behavioral change across multi-functional groups and across multiple geographic locations at global level.

• Experience in managing and directing Quality Management Systems.

• Experienced with driving technology and transformational projects.

•Experience working in a matrix organization with strong leadership skills.

• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing subordinates as well as hold employees accountable for performance.

• Experience engaging with Program Management and supplier community.

• Negotiation experience.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 15+ years related experience.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Math or other area with significant technical experience in Quality Assurance.

• MBA desired.
