Lockheed Martin is seeking an Image Analyst/Scientist for the Product Quality (PQ) group located in Northern Virginia. This position supports the Government and its customers by reviewing products for quality standard compliance and ensuring customers are receiving the most accurate, relevant products they need to accomplish their missions. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

• In-depth knowledge of complex signal processing techniques and methods of analysis

• Provide subject matter expertise in sensor processing, phenomena, and environmental effects for multiple Geographical Information Systems (GIS)

• Analyze data in the application of imagery viewing and remote sensing technology to aid the Government and its community of users

•Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures

• Researches, analyzes, and complies technical data for Government products and system-level concepts in the operational environments to optimize effectiveness

• Make recommendations for innovative methods to accomplish the PQ and greater Government missions

• Prepare and present briefings, update internal tracking metrics, and analyze trending statistics

• Applies system engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to the design of system of systems, systems, and new product development

• Develop and execute test methodologies for production systems and their associated products

• Develop procedures for operational execution

• Oversee the technical maturation and transition of new algorithms and methods to operations

• Achieve and maintain certifications in accordance with the contractor’s and customer’s formal training programs

We are looking for a colleague with excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should have strong multi-tasking skills and ability to meet time critical needs/demands with close attention to detail. This role will also require the understanding of user needs and operational environments.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Experience working in a government facility with a geographically diverse team

• Image science expertise in analysis, processing, quality, artifact recognition, phenomenology, etc.

Desired Skills:

• Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly clearance or higher

• In-depth understanding of the science behind Geographical Information Systems (GIS)

• Familiar with image analyst/science research methods and tools

• Formal training/previous work experiences in product quality techniques and assessment in relation to Geographical Information Systems (GIS)

• Experience with Electro-Optical sensors, techniques to mitigate anomalous EO signatures

• Familiar with scripting languages and modeling tools used in data analysis and simulation
