Optum Visual Field Technician in Everett, Washington

The Visual Field Technician functions as an integral member of the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care. Under direct supervision, obtains data for purposes of diagnosing disease, and identifying visual field defects and changes This position requires most of the day spent in an exam room before between 15-18 of these tests per day on patients in the dark, the test take between 15-30 minutes per patient depending on the patient speed. Test results get documented in EPIC by the tech.
The Visual Field Technician is responsibilities include:
Conducts reliable visual field diagnostic testing by following specific technical directives and practical application of ophthalmic knowledge
Ensures patient and medical record confidentiality.
Processes data according to defined procedures.
Schedules visual fields according to physician needs and schedules.
Orders and maintains inventory pertaining to visual field.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Clinical experience in a physician’s practice preferred but willing to train
