The Employee Benefits Insurance Producer actively solicits and sells insurance products and services to existing and new businesses; maintains an existing book of business, and expands book of business.
Advises clients on risk management, and helps to devise new ways to mitigate risks; listening to clients and prospects' needs and being able to guide them in the selection of insurance products that appropriately deal with these needs.
The role is responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers andcolleagues,andensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Identifies and continually develops prospect list to further enhance pipeline and book of business
. Writes, renews and amends new and existing policies
. Builds and maintains ongoing relationships with clients, including scheduling and attending meetings with client, and understanding the nature of clients' businesses and challenges.
. Builds and maintains ongoing relationships with centers of influence and other divisions by partnering together on existing business and referring current clients to other divisions.
. Foresees clients' insurance needs, such as policy renewals.
. Researches insurance companies' policies and negotiates with underwriters to find the most suitable insurance for clients, and at the best pricing.
. Arranges specialized types of insurance coverage in complex cases.
. Advises clients whether and when they need to make a claim on their policies.
. Markets and acquires new clients; keeping sales ratios to expected goal levels.
. Performs administrative tasks such as dealing with paperwork, correspondence, keeping detailed records.
. Wins accounts against competitor brokers and agencies; keeps up with changes in the
insurance market and in the clients' industries; collects insurance premiums and processes accounts through Account Managers gathers information from clients ,assessing their insurance needs and risk profiles.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
. Undergraduate degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience specifically in the employee benefits insurance industry preferred.
. Required appropriate state resident insurance licenses
. Minimum of two years in a broker/producer/advisor capacity, and/or the applicable number of years in an agency support position, with the intent to obtain licenses for selling (within 90 days).
. Understanding of the business of insurance, and its impact on consumers preferred.
. Superior command of communications, both written and verbal.
. Self-motivated individual, with the desire to listen and work independently to understand and assist consumers and businesses in selecting the proper insurance solutions for their specific needs
. Ability to use and understand effective automated documentation for agency records.
. Working knowledge and use of Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint (MS Office Products)
. Understanding and/or ability to use an Agency Management System (AMS)
