ConsumerTrack is looking for a leader to manage and develop our creative team of product designers, graphic illustrators, and specialists to provide all the branding, graphic, and creative needs for the entire Company.

We need a seasoned, well-rounded leader with strong work practices and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple workflows. You should have a track record of providing creative and design leadership to product teams and be able to easily insert yourself into an agile development process. This candidate will have experience hiring and mentoring UX and UI designers in-house. We require strong leadership skills, the capacity for quick iteration through solutions, an eye for detail, and focus on quality. You must be able to represent good design and user research within a multi-disciplined product team. This role has both management and execution responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of product designers and graphic illustrators in developing digital advertising products, data-driven style guides, graphic illustrations, and user flows on our owned & operated properties.

  • Manage all project work flows and deadlines with emphasis on both quality and timely delivery

  • Provide design standards, style sheets, and subject matter expertise across CTI brands, implementing best practices UI/UX for ensuring a high bar of quality

  • Ensure digital deliverables meet business requirements and are a fit for purpose to release to customers by leading the delivery production line (development, testing and implementation)

  • Identify key risks, issues and provide appropriate mitigation strategies or escalation as appropriate

  • Hire and mentor top talent, leading the team in design strategies that connect deliverables to business results

  • Leverage market and user research to identify key areas that will provide competitive advantages

  • Occasional contribution as an individual contributor/designer on projects will be minimal but will have to be done on an ad-hoc basis

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry experience shipping software products, digital marketing, or web services

  • 7+ years of management team, leading a team of at least 2 designers (hiring, team development, etc)

  • 5+ years of various web and mobile design expertise

  • Degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of usability principles

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS

  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch 3. Knowledge of Principle, Invision and having worked within the Agile methodology

  • Strong knowledge of mobile-first design principles

  • Ability to execute projects accurately and quickly to meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong work ethic
