Kelly Services Entry Level Lab Chemist in East Chicago, Indiana
Kelly Scientific is actively recruiting for an entry Lab Chemist for a contract to hire opportunity in East Chicago, IN to provide to work with an international leader in waste reclamation and recycling solutions supporting various markets including industrial, manufacturing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas and more.
Hiring for 2 shifts:
1 st shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
3 rd shift, Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay rate 1 st shift: $18.02/hr.
Pate rate 3 rd shift: $18.52/hr.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Entry level wet chemistry laboratory duties including pH, moisture, oxidation, titration
Daily processing of samples to include fuel compatibility, bomb calorimetry, GC analysis, metals analysis
Daily equipment calibration
Calorimeter, pH meter, GC-MS, GC-FID
Additional laboratory support in the areas of standards preparation, record keeping and other general laboratory duties
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be willing to work in an industrial setting with limited outside exposure and be willing to handle hazardous and non-hazardous wastes with appropriate PPE
Minimum of high school diploma with strong scientific background
College courses or degree preferred in a science related fieldStrong candidates will possess a great work ethic with the ability to work alone as well as in a group
