The Surest (Formerly Bind) Mid-Market Account Associate is a key support role within the Middle Market Revenue function. The Account Associate is focused on supporting the Bind Account Partner and assigned channel partners in satisfying, retaining, and growing Bind’s customer base. This role is part of a dedicated team responsible for building outstanding relationships with channel partners and achieving overall customer retention results year over year.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday to Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 08:00am – 05:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Support the Bind Account Partner with channel partner engagements related to the overall service experience delivery, book of business retention and growth strategy, product enhancements and member engagement communication plans
Continuously manage customer account records by refreshing data and inputting information into various systems to be used across the organization
Intake, respond and resolve customer inquiries in real time and / or through accurate and timely follow-up
Create and manage internal service ticket requests to support customer inquiries that could not be solved using systems in real time
Lead adhoc project management efforts through coordination across Bind business functions to execute on customer and member needs
Participate in user acceptance testing to validate solutions meet requirements
During annual enrollment, support coordination of events, materials, and related activities
Participate in annual enrollment and member recruitment activities as requested

High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
3+ years of customer facing, relationship management support experience in the health insurance and / or health and benefits space
Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks to develop realistic action plans
Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint (edit, save & send documents, spreadsheets and data)
Experience with Microsoft Teams (communication)
Reside within OH, PA, NJ, NY, MD, MA, ME, DE, NH, VT, CT
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- Associates degree (or higher) in business, insurance, healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field
Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations
Open to feedback and ideas from others with both the ability to disagree and to commit
Demonstrated track record of creating, coaching, and maintaining relationships across B2B and B2C audiences while executing on key objectives and results
Ability to set realistic goals, manage expectations and prioritize needs of competing interests of both internal and external partners
Manage high volume of details with precision and excellence in short and inflexible timeframes
