*Position Summary: * Credit Bureau Analyst coordinates credit bureau reporting and oversees credit bureau corrections for the company's mortgage loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establishes and maintains effective, preventative and detective controls to provide an assurance of compliance with all credit reporting obligations.

  • Defines key performance indicators and monitors performance against these standards.

  • Researches, responds and remediates credit reporting operational and/or technical processes and controls based upon audit observations, credit dispute activity, regulatory or contractual obligations, and/or other similar sources of performance feedback.

  • Oversees outgoing responses to credit disputes (Automated Consumer Dispute Verification) via E-Oscar; also credit corrections or updates (Automated Universal Data) to the credit bureau via E-Oscar.

  • Reports findings to management and other interested parties.

  • Researches and interprets payment histories to verify loan data such as payments posted, escrow disbursements, escrow analysis, loan balance information, ARM loan adjustments and cash applications.

  • Works closely with internal departments to resolve inquiries or complaints.

  • Generates response letters in accordance with Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

  • Working knowledge, as it relates to mortgage servicing, of Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act (RESPA).

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and consistently meet multiple deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college preferred. Up to two years related experience and/or training required.
