An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager within the Medical Device Center of Excellence department of DePuy Synthes, part of the Johnson and Johnson Family of Companies. DePuy Synthes, a $10 billion franchise within Johnson & Johnson, is a market-leader in the Orthopaedic implants industry and holds approx. $2 billion of Net Inventory.

Within this position you will be empowered to provide financial leadership and business partnering to the Depuy Synthes worldwide Planning organization, with the key focus being on Inventory and Inventory related costs on the P&L

This is a critical and highly visible role with many opportunities to present to Senior Management including the Global Medical Device Supply Chain Leadership Team and Global Medical Device Finance Leadership Team. The role requires a high level of motivation and confidence, a hands on approach and the ability to perform complex analysis under tight deadlines and with limited supervision

The ideal individual has an energetic, continuous improvement mindset, and will drive improvements in core activities, enhanced business partnering and will participate in shaping future initiatives for the team.

The Finance Manager will lead a team of 4-5 Senior Analysts, coaching, developing and measuring performance in line with J&J structures and processes

The Finance Manager will also participate as member of the Finance Leadership team for the Cork site

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting (Inventory, DOS & P&L costs) – Actuals and Forecasting

• Finance Leader in the monthly inventory governance reviews with the Planning VP, the Planning leadership team and Planning leaders in the Commercial organization

• Present and discuss the DePuy Synthes results at quarterly J&J Enterprise reviews, focusing on Net Inventory, DOS and Inventory related P&L charges

• Lead the Financial forecast updates in relation to Gross Inventory, Net Inventory, DOS and inventory related P&L charges – Business Plan, multiple latest thinking outlooks and Long Range Strategic plan

Program Support

• Provide financial support and leadership in relation to inventory related programs and projects, with strong focus on inventory reduction programs

• Support other initiatives across the global Centre of Excellence finance team

Business Partnering

• Finance business partner to the world-wide Planning organization, providing financial leadership in the inventory governance process

• Partner the Finance and Business leaders in the Regional organisations

• Build strong partnerships within the global Medical Device Finance community driving process standardization and franchise inventory accountability

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent

• Qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA accountant

• 7+ years of relevant multi-national experience in a fast-paced environment

• 1+ years of people management experience

Desirable:

• Exposure to operations through working with the business in a global supply chain environment

• Supply chain finance experience in Medical device or Pharmaceutical industry.

• Proven track record in multi-cultural business partnering

• DMAIC Green Belt/Continuous improvement certifications
