Description Robert Half is looking to bring an experienced Bookkeeper onto a growing team at an innovative firm. Strong social skills and a collaborative work style are a must for this position. This Bookkeeper position will be located in the Chicago, Illinois area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.
What you get to do every day
Support accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits
Preside over and review general ledger
Supervise bookkeeping policies and procedures, along with developing a framework to track financial transactions with an established chart of accounts
Settle accounts by reconciling entries
Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information Requirements
Previous experience using accounting software
Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
QuickBooks experience
Deep understanding of Administrative Assistance
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly desired
Microsoft Excel experience
