Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Description There's an immediate need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, and clerical staff. Through Robert Half, our client is seeking a permanent Full Charge Bookkeeper in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. Apply immediately!

How you will make an impact

  • Provide cash flow projections, as needed

  • More tasks as requested

  • Complete cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Iron out subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Manage monthly accounting close

  • Assemble sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Produce monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Credit Card management and reconciliation

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Condense business license and gross receipts

  • Look after Accounts Payable

  • List budget transfers Requirements - Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

    • 3+ years of related experience- Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Strong organization skills

  • General familiarity with account reconciliation

  • Earlier work involving Enter Invoices

  • Deep understanding of Full Charge Bookkeeping

  • Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

  • Quality experience with account reconciliation

  • Proven knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Microsoft Excel experience

  • Expertise in Sage Accounting Software

  • Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

  • Practical knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

  • Wide ranging experience with Invoice Approvals

  • Well-founded grasp of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Good understanding of payroll

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

    • Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
