Supply Chain Manager - Charlotte, NC

Where the Chemistry Happens

The G-EDJ/LLN Supply Chain Manager position will have management responsibility for all aspects of Supply Chain for the ED Resins & Additives business in North America based in Charlotte, NC. This will include supply & demand planning, sales & operational planning, master production scheduling, and material planning. The position is also a member of the G-EJD/LL Supply Chain leadership team for Resins and Additives in the Global Business Unit.

This role is responsible for maintaining optimized inventory levels to meet customer service levels, while optimizing transportation costs, production efficiencies, and logistics costs (internal and 3 rd party logistics).

Formula for Success:

Knowledge and Experience

  • 10 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, business management or operations is required. Experience within the chemicals or materials industry is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain / logistics, engineering, business or related field is required

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes including demand planning, S&OP, master production scheduling, and inventory management required

  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred

  • A strong working knowledge of SAP or other ERP planning system, inventory management, and material requirements planning is preferred

  • Continuous improvement and/or Lean Six Sigma project experience and certification strongly preferred

  • APICS (American Product and Inventory Control Society) supply chain certification is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead the Resins & Additives supply chain team responsible for sales & operational planning, supply & demand planning, and import planning

  • Sales & Operational Planning: Lead the S&OP process for the Resins & Additives businesses which entails the balancing of supply & demand with resulting inventory optimization and ensuring supply reliability.

  • Demand Planning: Lead the Resins & Additives demand planning processes including monthly demand forecasting in close collaboration with the sales, marketing, and product management teams.

  • Supply Planning: Includes master production scheduling and support for raw material planning within the Resins & Additives supply sites. This supply planning encompasses the NA manufacturing sites as well as replenishment of imported products to ensure optimized supply to meet customer demands.

  • Supply Chain Leadership: Represent Resins & Additivessupply chain in the N-EDN/S leadership team, as well as within the Resins & Additives regional and global communities

  • Projects: Manage projects for the Resins & Additives supply chain including continuous improvement / Lean Six Sigma, customer collaboration, and supply & demand planning

  • Training and people development: Drive the continual development of the Resins & Additives supply chain team including professional development and project-based learning opportunities
