Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong research agenda and potential to secure external funding, potential for high quality teaching and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree is required.
The successful candidate will conduct organizational communication research and teach B.A. and M.A. students in the Department of Communication Studies (communication.uncc.edu) and doctoral students in the university’s interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Organizational Science (orgscience.uncc.edu), which includes faculty from psychology, management, communication studies, and sociology. We also strongly encourage involvement with the university’s new interdisciplinary data science initiative (https://datascience.uncc.edu). The selected applicant will be expected to maintain a strong record of research and professional activity consistent with doctoral-level academic programs and showcase evidence of a commitment to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values in the department, college, and university.
Minimum Experience / Education:
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
