Job Summary

Performs Bio-Medical assigned maintenance, installation, repairs, adjustments and calibrations of equipment. Assist under supervision of Imaging Specialist III or OEM's on Imaging Equipment. Obtain OEM Imaging Equipment Training and Certifications to meet CMS Safety and Quality Guidelines on Imaging Equipment. Adheres to instructions and corporate policies and demonstrate professionalism with integrity in all interactions with customers and staff

Essential Functions

  • Works closely with management and technical staff

  • Works with sales and service representatives of Imaging equipment

  • Services Imaging equipment which may include any of the following modalities: Conventional X-Ray, R & F, Tomography, Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, IR Labs, Nuclear Medicine, or Linear Accellerators

  • Performs assigned planned maintenance, installation, repairs, adjustments, calibrations and safety testing on a broad range of Imaging equipment on which technician is trained and certified.

  • Performs incoming inspections, equipment quality control, testing, and calibration according to manufacturer specifications and other established guidelines

  • Services networked equipment and troubleshoots problems

  • Provides strong verbal/written communications consistent with assigned tasks.

  • Works closely with Department Heads, Directors, and Supervisors as to the status of equipment under repair

  • Performs inspections, quality control and image evaluations

  • Makes decisions based on clear instructions and operational rules and procedures

  • Shows initiative, follows established procedures, and works in a safe manner

  • Adheres to performance metrics of PM completion, work request closure, parts returns and others as assigned

  • Maintains timely, accurate and thorough documentation required by management, as outlined in current policies and procedures

  • Demonstrates initiative and concern for planning, time utilization and cost containment

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use of the Equipment Management System

  • Advanced knowledge of networked equipment

  • Well developed computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Certified on specific equipment

  • Maintains Imaging Specialist expertise through ongoing training and education

  • Has and advanced understanding of both local and national public safety and regulatory issues

  • Able to solve complicated frontline customer service issues

  • Works under the supervision of a Senior Imaging Specialist

  • Provide through the Biomedical Services department policy, the coordination and required assistance to service personnel employed by equipment manufacturers (OEM) and independent service organizations (ISO)

  • Familiar with the repair and maintenance of all general devices in use in the facility

  • Demonstrates competency related to the use of test equipment used to service Clinical Equipment

  • Demonstrates competency related to the use of Service and Repair Manuals, Operating Instructions, Service Diagrams, Flow Charts, and Schematics

  • Maintains an orderly and functional work environment

  • Capable of Projects Management

  • Performs after hours and On-Call support as assigned

  • Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Electronic Technology required

  • 0-3 Years Background or training in physiology, anatomy, chemistry and biology to converse with physicians, nurses and technicians as well as reading and understanding the operation and repair manuals of devices required

  • Certified by manufacturers such as Siemens or Phillips corporations Upon Hire required

  • Certified on specific Imaging Modalities such as: o Basic courses on CT, and/or Xray Imaging equipment o System courses on CT, and/or Xray Imaging equipment o Trained on SE Health equipment that satisfies contract requirements Upon Hire required

  • Must have a valid driver license Upon Hire
