Sutter Health Assistant Nurse Manager, Family Birth Center in Burlingame, California

Position Overview:

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is accountable for the delivery of high quality nursing care, the clinical management and operations on their assigned unit. The ANM is responsible for the day to day management of the unit, assists with hiring of new employees as well as employee development, evaluations and counseling. The emphasis is on the delivery of high quality, evidence-based care with high standards for care outcomes and patient satisfaction. The ANM is a collaborator, role model and an effective leader for the organization. The ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, the Patients’ Bill of Rights, the Professional Standards for the appropriate clinical area, as well as the Association of Nursing Professional Development (ANPD), will define the implementation of this role.


3 years of supervisory/management experience in maternal/child nursing

CA RN License



ACLS and Fetal Monitoring (within 6 months of hire)
