George L. Wilson and Co., the tri-state's number one source for high quality construction equipment and supplies is currently looking for an Inside Sales Rep andndash; Door Dept. We have been serving the construction industry in Western PA and West Virginia since 1969. OVERVIEW: You will provide assistance to customers as they purchase the materials and tools they need for a wide variety of door replacement projects. From the moment you greet customers until their sales have been finalized, you will provide them with superior service and exterior building supply expertise. In this role, it is helpful to have experience with exterior building supplies, primarily and doors, so that you are familiar with the various products and associated terminology. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: *Determining customers' needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions *Following product/supply checklist for each customer's specific job and up-selling additional products and supplies for that job *Answering customer questions and offering product advice *Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account *Arranging with the warehouse for customer product pickup *Following-up on each delivery to ensure the shipment arrived on time with all items accounted for *Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise *Take orders properly *Prepare quotes *Troubleshoot questions from customers *Able to read blueprints or construction drawings *Knowledge of door frame/hardware, plus *Knowledge of estimating, plus *Ability to take accurate measurements of existing frames *Computer experience a requirement *Maintain a friendly, andquot;willing to helpandquot; attitude *Research and investigate customers' needs quickly *Previous sales or construction knowledge, a plus *Mechanical assembly or drafting experience *Understanding of electronic hardware - how to put things together and take them a part, useful in position COMPETENCIES: *1-2 years experience with sales and working with customers preferred *Door experience is a plus *Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills *Solid time management and prioritization skills *Basic computer skills and/or software experience is preferred *Positive attitude and team player REPORTS TO:Branch Manager HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm DEGREE:Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience This is a Monday - Friday shift from 7:30 am - 4 pm with lunch and breaks given accordingly.
