The Application Engineers role offers an opportunity to join an exciting and highly motivated team, working with cutting-edge technology on IC/ASIC Digital Implementation and specializing in topics such as RTL Synthesis, Design for test, place and route. Enabling customers to use Cadence tools to design and implement digital ICs in areas such as IOT, Automotive, Advanced CPU and communications at advanced technology nodes.

This role is ideal for someone with several years of hands on design experience who is looking for a new challenge in an absorbing customer facing role

Job Duties

  • Support customers at the leading edge of IC/ASIC design and Innovation using Cadence IC Digital Implementation products

  • Participate in support visits at customer sites

  • Deliver customer training classes

  • Develop skills/knowledge to become a product specialist, able to provide expert consultancy and work directly on customer IC/ASIC design projects.

  • Provide technical support to sales team to identify opportunities to proliferate Cadence products.

  • Communicate customer requirements and feedback from support engagements to the Engineering and Marketing organizations for product direction/improvements

  • Deliver technical presentations to all levels within an organization

Position Requirements:

  • Education: BEng in electronic engineering or equivalent with at least 4 years relevant industry experience

  • Languages: Fluent in English

  • Experience in Verilog/VHDL Hardware Description Languages

  • Experience with IC Digital Implementation tools – e.g. Genus, Modus, Conformal, Innovus, Tempus (or similar)

  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and via email.

  • Problem solving skills

  • Team player

  • Prepared to travel and work at customer sites throughout Europe
