State of Massachusetts Constituent Services Associate in Boston, Massachusetts

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is seeking an experienced professional who is eager to join a mission-driven and fast-paced team for the role of Constituent Services Associate. At the direction of the Secretary’s ombudsperson, the Constituent Services Associate assists with the investigation and resolution of issues and concerns raised by or on behalf of constituent and other entities such, as health care providers, housing/shelter providers, insurance plans and other state agencies. /_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_/ * Staff state wide support phone line/ electronic intake referral system for health care facilities, family members with loved in nursing homes and individuals in unique circumstances, e.g., criminal history, behavioral health challenges, housing unstable/homeless individuals. * Collaborate with state agencies and other stake holders to help resolve constituent concerns. * Educate constituents about EOHHS and it processes. * Offer support, solutions and alternatives to resolve conflicts between constituents and EOHHS agencies. * Respond to written concerns in appropriate and timely manner providing accurate and responsive answers. * Maintain data and ensure that entry into database is completed in a timely manner * Furnish technical assistance and information to providers. * Other duties as assigned /_Preferred Qualifications_//:/ * Knowledge of work simplification methods including quality improvement or performance management. * Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information. * Strong communication skills both oral and written. * Ability to assist agency personnel and constituents from diverse backgrounds /_About the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS):_/ The mission of the EOHHS is to provide effective leadership in the delivery of health and human services that promote health, resilience and independence to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities throughout the Commonwealth. /_Total Compensation:_/ As an employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are offered a great career opportunity influencing a wide-spectrum of services to the diverse populations we serve - but it's more than a paycheck. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the-required experience.* II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.* III.
