In this role, you will be a member our rapidly growing program and project management team. The PM team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it.' We are currently looking for a Project Manager specializing in healthcare to manage projects in Washington DC / Baltimore Metro areas. This opportunity will be an on-site Owner's Representative position with a region-wide healthcare provider. This role will lead project scope development and manage the design and construction of projects valued at $5M and greater.
Formulate the design, bid and construction phase development for the client.
Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
Define and establish project objectives, scope of work and develop overall project budgets.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
Lead the efforts of the project team regarding approvals from applicable agencies.
Provide update/status reporting for work in progress including costs and schedules.
Consider Client’s overall master plan to ensure there are no project conflicts affecting sequencing of work and long-term viability for the renovations and expansion.
Devise bidding strategies including bid packaging and encouraging contractors to participate in the bid process.
Conduct pre-bid and job start meetings.
Manage the project in design, construction and occupancy phases.
Administer the construction contracts.
Approve pay requests of consultants and contractors.
Conduct all job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Implement all applicable policies and procedures for the projects.
Conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering or construction management is preferred. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
3-5 years' experience in all aspects of Project Delivery, Managing, Planning, Design, and Construction processes with a special emphasis on healthcare facilities.
Experience on large capital healthcare projects.
AIA, LEED, PMP, CCM or other related accreditations preferred.
Must be an excellent communicator with superior organizational skills and leadership qualities.
