Boeing’s India supply chain team is currently looking for Experienced Supply Chain Specialist who will work closely with the BGS supply chain team in US and India SC to provide functional support to the Demand Supply Planning (DSP) team objectives.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Position encompasses a variety of responsibilities focused on Boeing’s Demand Supply Planning (DSP) supply chain operations globally.

  • The role involves India SC resource to work closely with the DSP leaders / product owners and provide functional support to DSP deliverables

  • Functional supply chain support to sustainment, development and deployment of demand supply planning tools – PDL (Planning Data Layer) and SPM.

  • Functional support typically includes, but is not limited to:

  • Analysis and documentation of DSP systems workings and its features

  • Providing acceptance criteria for stories / features for DSP system development, deployment and sustainment

  • Functional check & testing of supply chain feature(s) developed

  • Supporting product owner with supply chain planning expertise

  • Support generation of supply chain systems requirements or guidance from supply chain team (asset managers, forecasters, SC end users etc.)

  • Support process improvement activities across DSP activities, in coordination with DSP US team to reduce time to value by streamlining and simplifying work; Reduce Supply Chain costs

  • Support in delivery of global-ready and adaptive processes for the supply chain enterprise

  • Support status reporting daily with US / India DSP team and Indian supplier to DSP program leadership

  • Support in providing data and information across the enterprise to transform decision-making

  • Support GOLD team process improvement objectives and deliverables

  • Provide support to DSP team in India and US with expertise on SPM (Service Parts Management) supply chain system

  • Selected candidate will be required to participate, on a daily basis in DSP calls, which will be run by product owners / scrum leads.

  • Selected candidates will be required to work closely with Indian vendors / suppliers which are working on development of various DSP systems

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 to 12 years related work experience.

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree is a must.

  • Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing knowledge

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, Communication and problem solving skills

  • Microsoft office skills (word, ppt, visio etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Understanding / Experience of working in Agile

  • Attention to detail, develop deliverables, and execute processes.

  • The ability to think pro-actively and work collaboratively.

  • Past experience working on SPM (Service Parts Management), SPO, GOLD / TAV, AMOS or equivalent system.), preferably in Aviation or Defense sector
