Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer in Bellevue, Washington

In Dynamics 365 we make our customers successful. With solutions for Sales, Marketing, Operations, Commerce, Fraud Protection, and much more we’re helping customers make their businesses successful using the Microsoft Cloud. At the center of success is the ability to let data drive actions through analytics and predictive insights based on data from across the customers’ business. Our Data Services team is working to enable these capabilities and is right now looking for a technically savvy senior engineer, with experience in building and operating mission critical, scalable, performant cloud services to manage, move and transform data at scale, enabling analytics, AI, ML, data integration, and other data intensive operations. Responsibilities

We are looking for a smart, agile, and intellectually curious engineer who loves solving tough engineering challenges and who work hard to create and build software that delight customers. You will be working with a team of amazing engineers, PMs and designers, in Dynamics and all across Microsoft.

  • Our technologies span many different Azure technologies, we use Azure Dev Ops, use a microservices architecture, and you will analyze, prototype, design and implement microservices and drive release and evolution of these.

  • You’ll get to code a lot, experiment, fix bugs, deal with livesite incidents, and work with new Azure technologies before they release publicly.

  • You’ll take part in charting out direction of our implementation, architecture, tools, livesite discipline and engineering practices in our pursuit of excellence and agility.

  • You will share your passion for software to inspire and guide other engineers on the team and help build a productive environment, focusing on purpose, quality and value of our work.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or additional 4 years’ work experience) in computer science, science, or math

  • 3+ years of relevant software design and development in C#, Java, C++, or equivalent languages.

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud services. (i.e. Microsoft Azure or AWS or GCP)

  • 2+ years experience in designing, developing, and shipping scalable, reliable, and highly available services.

  • 2 + years experience in big data technology. (i.e. Spark, Parquet, or Azure Synapse)

  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proven experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to the final product.

  • Experience leveraging cloud architecture, applying site reliability principles, and/or demonstrating sensitivity to operational concerns.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
