The Senior Systems Administrator will serve as a Azure DevOps Engineer and Unix System Administrator. The technical expert for DevOps practices within the organization, providing solutions and technical implementation aligned with the automation program objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Delivers new automation to reduce/remove manual efforts for infrastructure/software deployments and configurations.
Use Azure DevOps (ADO) tools. Ensure all key services are measured, monitored, and raise alerts when needed.
Build VMs and other Azure Related Services.
Patch and Upgrading Azure VMs.
Manage Azure Networking and servers upgrade/maintenance.
Implement and support Azure IaaS, Azure Active Directory (AAD), virtual networks, storage, backup, policies (network security groups, role-based access control, resource quota management, etc.) using industry and corporate best practices.
Develop and maintain Azure-related standards, policies, and procedures.
Plan, design, and implement necessary configurations to ensure disaster recovery policies and compliance with Azure.
Perform daily system monitoring.
Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions.
Provide support for escalated requests from the service desk.
Computer Science degree or equivalent IT related studies required.
One or more Azure certifications beyond only Azure Fundamentals. ( example, Azure Administrator, Azure Developer, Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.
Typically requires 8-10 years experience.
Ability to manage multiple clients and projects.
Expert level knowledge of UNIX and LINUX operating systems, file systems.
Detailed knowledge of UNIX principles, file editing, UNIX commands, and file manipulation.
UNIX, LINUX, and LINUX shell scripting including Ansible.
Knowledge of networking principles including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP.
Understanding of backup procedures and storage management both on-prem and Azure.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.Team player and great communicator.Available to participate in 24/7 on-call duty rotation.
