Change Healthcare Manager of FP&A in Alpharetta, Georgia
Overview of Position
In this role (Manager of FP&A) you will support the Shared Services organization. As a Business Partner, you will move beyond compiling the data and tell the story behind the numbers. You will become a trusted advisor to select Senior Executives and their teams, providing valuable decision support and guidance to management. You will focus on shaping and informing the business to drive better partnerships, create actionable insights, and lead transformation initiatives.What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Business Partnership - Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Enterprise Customer Care, Management, Support, Sales and Business Unit Finance to achieve and exceed financial growth objectives, drive process improvements and lead transformation efforts. Act as primary liaison to Business Partners and their teams, driving necessary analysis and in-sights in support of the business.
Financial Analysis – Deliver monthly financial insights and analysis to Business Partners, highlighting ongoing trends and making actionable recommendations. Analyze and explain underlying causes of variances and identify and address known business issues through collaborative action plans.
Planning & Forecasting – Drive the financial planning activities in a manner that yield challenging, but achievable, strategic plans, budgets and forecasts and provides clear understanding of requirements and results. Review and advise Partners and Leadership on budget and forecast results based on a thorough knowledge of the targets, history, metrics, and initiatives at the business unit / product level. Identify actionable gap closure activities and collaborate with business to create action plans to achieve growth objectives.
Modeling – Accelerate development of financial models used during the planning and forecasting processes and to support decision making by Executive Leadership, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review. Collaborate with cross functional teams such as IT, Sales Ops, and the Business Units to develop business cases and go to market analysis, developing appropriate recommendations on organizational structures (support levels, customer alignment, etc).
Process Improvements – Proactively identify and lead process improvement and business transformation initiatives. Constantly evaluate processes to driver efficiencies. Drive innovation through proactive adoption of new processes, applications and tools.
Special Projects – Initiate and deliver on special analysis and planning projects of varying nature and complexity. With the ability to drive autonomously, the role will be responsible for clarifying objectives and assumptions or making appropriate judgments and decisions where necessary. This will include analysis of financial metrics, process improvement initiatives, investment requests, etc.
Communication – You must be a strong communicator with a proven track record of working with seasoned sales executives. You will lead your team to package and deliver complex financial data in a manner that is both easy to consume and meaningful for your audience. You will have the ability to deliver difficult messages, ask compelling questions, and guide yourself and others through ambiguity.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Education: BA/BS Degree in Business or closely related field
5+ years finance experience
Partnering – Prior experience in supporting and influencing Finance and Business Leadership with processes, reporting, analysis, or programs.
Critical Thinking – Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve business problems.
Communication – Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to various audiences.
Teamwork – Demonstrated ability to participate and contribute as a member of a team.
Planning & Organizing – Demonstrated ability to work on more than one complex project to completion within deadlines.
Systems & Processes – Demonstrated knowledge of systems and processes, advanced Excel skills, financial database experience, and digital finance tool experience.
