Silver Hills, manufacturer and marketer of Silver Hills Sprouted Bakery, Little Northern Bakehouse, and One Degree Organic Foods is looking for an IT Technician - I to join the team.
Who are we looking for...
We are looking for an IT Technician-I to join our IT Team! This role is responsible for maintaining networks, software, and equipment, resolving technical problems and providing general IT support and assistance.
You will have a chance to grow and learn new skills working alongside another experienced IT team member. You will also be exposed to the business side of things supporting new systems implementation and other special projects. The primary challenge is to stay organized and deliver exceptional customer service to your internal stakeholders while juggling competing priorities and tight deadlines.

You understand basic IT concepts, including systems maintenance, computer networks, etc.
You have the knowledge of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft SharePoint
You have strong oral and written communication skills
You have 1+ years of hands-on experience supporting networks and security-related technologies
You have a degree or diploma in Information Technology or related discipline (graduating students are open to apply!)
You have experience working in a virtualized server environment (Hyper V)
Network or security certification(s), e.g. MCSE, CCNA
Database, programming or other related experience
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP
Things you will do?
Perform basic network maintenance and user network support
Maintain IT hardware inventory sourcing additional equipment as required
Troubleshoot issues both on-site and remotely maintaining service excellence with every interaction
Set up and deploy new hardware and software
Manage print servers, active directory, and MS exchange
Provide mobile device and other equipment support
Participate in IT projects, including new systems and processes implementation
You may on occasion work at varied times as the job requires
Primary office location: 34494 McClary Rd, Abbotsford, BC
Secondary office location: We have 6 locations within the Abbotsford area that require IT support from time to time
